Every morning I curl up on my seat in the bus and look outside. If I'm lucky it's sunny; the fog is lifting and i can see the sun rolling behind the trees and casting long shadows along the pavement... I listen to this song, 'The Shadow Proves the Sunshine' by Switchfoot, and I savour this time I can be alone and in peace and think, meditate over everything and anything that so chooses to occupy my mind. Last monday, on my 16th birthday, I had the chance to meet... kind of interview John and Jerome from Switchfoot before the concert.
I've always wanted to do a piece that expresses what this song makes me feel, and there have been countless times I have tried to over the past two years. This is the first where I could muster what I believe a suitable interpretation.
Thank you for an amazing 16th birthday, my friends and family and Switchfoot.
aww that's fine C:
I forgot your birthday too, although i should've remembered because you have the same day as my cousin =O
anyways, thanks for the comment and fav!
Wow.
That really is beautiful, and that's the kind of thing I want to get a print of, what I wish artists would express. Absolutely beautiful.
Also, Switchfoot is really amazing <3 I've been a fan since Legend of Chin. It must have been an awesome experience interviewing John and Jerome! I've always wanted to talk to Jon about where he gets his inspiration for lyrics. I'm so excited, I'm seeing them this November!!! x3
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
